Over 2 days of art-making at The Social Outfit’s studio in Newtown, you will work with visual artist Clementine Barnes to learn new skills and apply your artistic abilities to the creation of a collaborative textile print!
The print will be inspired by the themes of family treasures and traditions, which you will explore using a range of techniques including mixed media collage and drawing with thread, to generate a range of patterns and effects.
You will meet other talented young artists from across Sydney, see how creativity can translate into careers in the fashion industry and feel a sense of pride in co-creating a community print with one of Sydney’s leading ethical fashion labels.
The Collaborative Fashion Print Masterclass is an “Earn and Learn” initiative, meaning participating students receive a work experience fee for their creative contributions that can be listed on their resume as paid work. Students will be invited to attend the launch of the print and celebrate their achievements.
