Fashion for Good

The Social Outfit is a sustainable fashion brand in Australia. Our ethical fashion is made by refugees and is made in Sydney, right in our local Marrickville workroom. We create environmental clothes that are bright, bold and fun fashion statements. Our clothes empower women, from the women who made them to the women who wear them.

REASONS YOU'LL LOVE YOUR SOCIAL OUTFIT:

The Magic Happens Upstairs.

Crafted for you in our Newtown workroom using mostly donated fabrics saved from landfill. That's as sustainable and local as it gets.

We celebrate diversity.

Our diverse sewing team hand constructs each garment, meaning there are slight variations: making each item as unique as you are.

Everyone's a winner!

Every dollar you spend with us goes back into our employment and training programs for refugees and new migrants.

THE SOCIAL OUTFIT'S RETAIL TRAINING PROGRAM

Our Retail Training Program is a work-readiness and employment pathway program for young refugee and new migrant women seeking their first Australian job.

"This is what a 'triple point score' looks like - economic, environmental and social/cultural resilience. This is what 'good' looks like and is ripe to be replicated and scaled."

Jess Miller, Councillor, City of Sydney
