Ways To Give

There are many different ways to support the work of The Social Outfit. You could opt for a major donation to fund an ‘Earn and Learn’ sewing course for 14 women, sponsor a retail trainee in her first Australian job, or take part in our annual peer-to-peer fundraiser 'Wear The Change'.

We are grateful for all donations - large and small, and as a registered charity we can provide you with a tax deductible receipt for your gift.

Our community programs support 180 training outcomes and 20 employment outcomes annually. These cost between $400,000 - $500,000 to deliver and you can be a part of empowering refugee women through becoming a donor.

Read more about ways to give below:

1. Philanthropic Partnership

Our philanthropic partners work closely with our team as we progress towards 1,000 training outcomes and 100 jobs by 2024. Contributions of $100,000+ enable us to deliver our employment and training programs as outlined in our theory of change, logic model and community programs activity schedule.

2. Sponsor a Trainee

For a donation of $5,000 you can support a young refugee woman to kick-start her Australian career via our Retail Training Program. Your donation is doubled by Ecstra Foundation to cover the full 3-month tuition and wrap-around support we deliver for each trainee. We graduate up to 16 trainees each year.

3. Wear the Change

Each year during Refugee Week (June 19-23, 2023) we invite our community to take the challenge of wearing 1 garment 5 ways over 5 days and fundraise for our work.

Learn more about how you can get involved individually or with a workplace team.

4. One-off Donations & Giving Circle membership

Make a one-off contribution or recurring monthly donation towards our work via our online platform.
