Why It Matters
This is about more than an art project. Community Prints give refugee and migrant women a way to share their perspectives and experiences through visual storytelling, turning belonging, worth and pride into something you can actually see and wear.
Each print is a celebration of the talent and creativity of the women in our community, made real in fabric. The design process builds connection and confidence, as women work alongside each other to shape something new. Every garment carries their story. Wearing it means supporting refugee and migrant women as they build their lives in Australia.
And for the women themselves, seeing their print worn out in the world is its own kind of proof. Their work, chosen and worn with pride by a stylish woman wearing The Social Outfit.
