Silk Belted Shirt Dress - Diya

This is THE main event of our silk community collection. Versatility tailoring yet fluid, the Silk Belted Shirt in Diya brings modern energy to a classic shape. The vibrant cream base and large scale print paired with the soft silk fabric create an effortlessly artistic look, grounded in community and craft. Wear as a dress, Kimono style cover up or co-ord, this dress offers styling flexibility and thoughtful design.

DESIGN: Relaxed fit with a concealed button front, pointed collar, and curved hem that hits above the knees.

PRINT: The Diya Community Print features large scale floral artwork with each petal painted by a woman from the Chester Hill Community Hub, representing cultural backgrounds from Pakistan, Egypt, Colombia, Macedonia, Lebanon, and Thailand. Diya means daylight, a symbol of new beginnings and one of two prints from our New Day Spring Community Print Collection. Each season, we create community prints to celebrate the artistic expression of refugee and migrant women and share their stories.

Please note that print placement will vary, as we cut our garments to reduce fabric wastage. Each garment is unique and the image that is shown is just one example of how the print may appear.
