Silk Scrunchie - Amplify
Description
Ethically made in small quantities at our studio in Marrickville, Australia.
Who doesn't love a throwback? The 80s were all about big hair and big scrunchies to match, that's why we've updated our Big Scrunchie in our own unique Social Outfit prints! Each scrunchie is crafted from the fabric offcuts we collect from producing our garments in our on-site workroom.
DESIGN: 80s-style jumbo scrunchie, approximately 20cm diameter, updated in our very own Social Outfit prints.
PRINT: The Social Outfit’s 10th Birthday print, Amplify, celebrates the voices of young students from both Birrong Girls High School and Bossley Park High School. This project was a collaboration between The Social Outfit and Story Factory. Artist Izzy Parker was assisted by Sonya Price-Kelly and Chatchakonrak Promchan to facilitate creative art and clay workshops around the theme of 'Free to Fashion'. The artworks from these workshops were developed into a digital print by artist Clementine Barnes.
Each season we collaborate with artists, designers and our community to create prints exclusive to The Social Outfit. Please note that print placement may vary, as we cut our garments to reduce fabric wastage.

The jacket looks amazing - the fabric is wonderful and it is so perfectly made. It’s also nice to know this is not just some fast fashion, but rather has heart and soul! Love it!"
